Nalgene Outdoor Products, internationally renowned manufacturer of reusable water bottles, partners with Distrilink and Kuehne+Nagel to expand and scale up their business in Europe.
Nalgene, founded in 1949, is the market leader in reusable water bottles in the United States and wants to expand its business beyond its borders and sell directly to the EU consumer.
In their strategy, they highlighted a few key requirements in order to succeed:
- Deliver a flawless customer experience to the Nalgene EU customer
- Compose EU-regulated invoices at scale to customers
- Guarantee a seamless customer and returns service
Nalgene Outdoor Products decided to team up with two companies that will work in tandem: Distrilink as digital sales accelerator, and Kuehne+Nagel as its logistics partner. Together we combined forces to bring the renowned water bottles directly to the EU consumer by launching the 74-year-old brand’s first e-commerce website in the EU.
A tandem of industry leaders
With over 79.000 employees at almost 1.300 sites in close to 100 countries, the Kuehne+Nagel Group is one of the worlds’ leading logistics providers. Kuehne+Nagel will be responsible for the overall logistics of the project, including the stocking & shipping of products.
Distrilink will act as the glue in this connected ecosystem. We will be responsible for the general customer experience, including (but not limited to) the fulfilment, the maintenance of their EU webshop, the creation of EU-regulated invoices and the customer service. Additionally, we will be able to deliver consumer and product insights to Nalgene Outdoor Products. To streamline this process, our team has created an IT solution that connects our fulfilment system with Kuehne+Nagel’s logistics.
